Membership Fees 2010/2011:

Membership from July 1st to June 30th $88.00
Membership Renewels if paid by Sept 1st $75.00
1/2 Yearly Membership, January 1st to June 30th - New Members Only $66.00

Membership includes quarterly newsletter, welcome pack, and entry of one horse into the High Point Award (you nominate the horse), please ensure you fill in the entry form when filling out your membership paperwork.

Registration Fees 2010/2011:

Foalbook Registration - Birth to 3yo $55.00
Studbook Registration - 3yo and over $55.00
Foundation Registration - Purebred Friesian Mares/Stallions/Colts $55.00
Performance Book Registration - Criteria must be met $80.00

Breeding Certificates must accompany all horse registration applications, unless the horse has a prior registration with another Society, in this case a copy of these registration papers showing breeding will suffice.

Foalbook -
All horses under 3 years of age, from 25% to 99% Friesian are automatically entered into this book.

Studbook -
There are 3 books within the studbook, Studbook A, Studbook B, and Studbook C, where your horse lays within the studbook, will depend on its breeding.
Studbook A:  Is reserved for horses of a sporting background, and are no more than 50% Friesian i.e. Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Arabs, Standardbreds.
Studbook B:  Is reserved for horses of heavier or baroque breeds, or horses that are higher than 50% Friesian i.e. Andalusian, Clydie, Percheron etc.
Studbook C:  Is reserved for pony crosses, or horses expected to mature under 14.2hh.

All horses are eligible for entry or upgrade into the adult Studbook once over 3 years of age, photographic evidence of meeting the breed standard will be required, on all horses before access is granted. Front, rear, and clear side on shots will be independantly critiqued, if the standard is met, upgrade will take place, and new papers and pedigree will be issued.

Foundation Book - This book is reserved for purbred Friesian horses, used for breeding Friesian Sporthorses. Mares and Stallions Only

Performance Book - Owners wishing to register in the performance book will be required to meet the criteria set out below -
Dressage:  Elementary or higher, with scores of above 60% consistently over a minimum of 3 seperate events.
Showing:   Champion or Supreme, won in company of at least 4 other competitors, over a minimum of 5 seperate events.
Eventing:  Prelim level or higher with penalties of no more than 55, over a minimum of 3 seperate events.

Horses entered in the High Point Award, will have their anual points accumulate over time, once a total of 100 points are reached, your horse will gain eligibility into the Performance Book.


Transfer Fees 2010/2011:

Transfer of Ownership $33.00
Transfer to Alternate Book - once eligible $33.00

Official transfer form must be completed, and sent to the AFSS along with original registration papers and payment. Failure to do this may result in late receival of paperwork.
