Welcome to the Australasian Friesian Sporthorse Studbook or AFSS. The AFSS is an exciting new concept in registering your Friesian Sporthorse. Not only do we offer the basics of a registry, we have also incorporated the idea of a traditional Studbook, tracking database for 5 generation pedigrees (printed on registration papers), have a full merchandise list available, and offer members customer service and professionalism that will be rivalled. The AFSS registers Friesian derivatives from 25% right through to the purebred Friesian; we register horses from both here in The AFSS team is small but mighty, no question is too small, no task to large. Our target for registration turnaround is 2 weeks; you’ve just bought a new horse and want to compete at the end of the month? No problem, we will work together for a happy outcome. The Friesian Sporthorse has been bred in this country since 1977-78, and although it’s only just in the past 5-10 years that we are beginning to see more of them, they are now both out in competition and as well being respected family mounts.
